Twitter is a magical thing. When I saw a tweet a few weeks ago about olive picking at renowned Sunnybrae Restaurant in Birregurra I was like IN! Literally that’s what I tweeted back. I’ve never eaten at Sunnybrae but the more of the operations I saw at the rural site the more I want to get the for a conspicuous long lunch. It was a basic affair, get up very early and drive west. Drink coffee with George, pick olives, drink soup, pick olives, eat lunch, pick olives, eat dessert, go and stay at a delightful cottage for the night.
I won’t go into too much details but needless to say the day was filled with good company, great food, great wine and the damage to my supple office hands was repairable.
