As part of a fundraising effort at work to raise money for Bowel Cancer Australia we have created a small 30 page cookbook featuring some fantastic recipes.
Bowel cancer is Australia’s second biggest cancer killer after lung cancer, claiming the lives of around 4,047 people every year. It is also the most common type of newly diagnosed internal cancer, with more than 14,000 Australians diagnosed every year.
The good news is that bowel cancer is one of the most curable types of cancer if detected early. If bowel cancer is detected before it has spread beyond the bowel, 90% of bowel cancer cases can be treated successfully.
However, most cases are detected at a later stage & so early detection offers the best hope of reducing the number of Australians who die each year from the disease.
While bowel cancer kills more Australians each year than breast or prostate cancer, early detection through screening can vastly improve survival rates.
So give a hoot, know your bowel cancer facts & be screened at the appropriate time!
All monies raised from the purchase of this cookbook will be donated to Bowel Cancer Australia
This cookbook is dedicated to the memory of Sue Hiller (23 March 1955 – 15 October 2011)
