I do love tofu, a lot. Its such a versatil product and is a great carrier of flavour. Ofcourse you can use a traditional greek cheese for this recipe but give tofu a chance, with it’s amazing health benefits you won’t look back. (unless you’re Greek, in which case it is punishable by 20 years in a Greek Prison for watching, cooking and consuming this meal.
250g organic firm tofu.
juice of 2 lemons
handfull of oregano
Salt and Pepper
1. Slice the Tofu thinly.
2. In a large bowl lay the tofu out and drizzle with olive oil, lemon juice, dust with oregano and season with salt and pepper.
3. Allow to marinate (the longer the better)
4. Grill in a hot dry pan until golden brown (don’t let it overcook as you’ll be left with tofu chips.
5. Serve with a squeeze of lemon and a fresh salad.
